Cautions and Warnings

Known Adverse Reactions: Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs. Diuretic effect may occur. Some people may experience diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Avoid taking with health products or foods that contain caffeine and/or increase blood pressure (e.g. medications, coffee, tea, colas, cocoa, guarana, mate, bitter orange extract, synephrine, ocotopamine, ephedra, ephedrine). Caffeine has been shown to reduce blood flow to the heart muscle during exercise which might lead to cardiovascular complications such as chest pain, and irregular heartbeat even in healthy individuals. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician if those symptoms occur. This product is not intended as a substitute for sleep. Call a Poison Control Center immediately if overdose or accidental ingestion occurs. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician if symptoms persist or worsen. Keep out of the reach of children. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use if you are taking carbidopa or drugs/supplements with serotonergic activity. These may include, but are not limited to, L-tryptophan, Sadenosylmethionine (SAMe), St. John's wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over the counter cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/ doctor/physician if you show signs of weakness, oral ulcers, abdominal pain accompanied by severe muscle pain or if you experience skin changes. Consumption with alcohol, other drugs or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner if you have benign prostate hypertrophy and/or prostate cancer. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have been diagnosed with hypoactive sexual disorder, sexual dysfunction or erectile dysfunction. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you suffer from any psychological disorder and/or condition such as frequent anxiety or depression. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use if you have glaucoma, and/or overactive bladder syndrome (detrusor instability).. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing. If you are taking anti-depressants, especially monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) consult with a health care practitioner prior to use. Contra-Indications: Do not use this product if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics. Do not use this product if you have scleroderma. Do not use if you are pregnant.
