Recommended Use

Salvia, schisandra, polygala, zizyphus and poria are used in traditional Chinese medicine to calm the shen (spirit). Rehmannia, ophiopogon, salvia, schisandra, asparagus cochinensis, and scrophularia are used in traditional Chinese medicine to clear and dispel heat and cool the blood. Zizyphus, angelica sinensis, asparagus cochinensis, Schisandra, rehmannia and ophiopogon are used in traditional Chinese medicine to generate body fluids. Panax ginseng is used in herbal medicine to help reduce mental fatigue in cases of mental stress.

Cautions and Warnings

Cautions and Warnings: For adult use only. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking any prescription medications; if you have hypermenorrhea, hemoptysis, or hematuria; if you have diabetes; if you have intestinal parasites; or if you are taking sedatives or depressants such as alcohol, tranquilizers, or sleeping medications. TCM: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have an untreated external condition; if you have an excess condition such as heat, damp-phlegm, liver fire, wind-heat, or rashes that have not cleared; if you have spleen and stomach qi or yang deficiencies; if yin deficient; if you have a warm, febrile, summerheat-damp disorder; if you have stomach pain, abdominal pain, diarrhea; if you have gastritis, peptic or duodenal ulcers; if you are experiencing heat symptoms or hot phlegm.
Contra-Indications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking diuretics, or if you have hemoptysis or tuberculosis; if you have abdominal distension, diarrhoea, or haemorrhagic diseases. TCM: Do not use if you have seminal emission due to deficiency cold, in cases of yin deficiency with heat signs, or in the absence of significant qi deficiency. This combination is incompatible with Li Lu (Radix et rhizoma veratri).
Known Adverse Reactions: Symptoms of allergy (rashes, skin irritation, etc) and other mild side effects (headache, dry mouth, nausea, etc) have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner.
